Major Lawn Tennis Association initiative announced for 2012
Southsea Tennis Club is delighted to have been selected by the LTA as one of six venues in Portsmouth for a major national initiative to boost participation in tennis. This means significant benefits which we aim to have in place for the start of the summer season on April 2:
- Investment in the resurfacing of two courts, bringing the total number of hard courts at the Castle Courts site to 10.
- A grant to floodlight four additional courts, giving us 7 floodlit courts in total.
- Recruitment of a new Head Coach and the creation of a comprehensive programme throughout the Southsea area for players of all ages and all abilities.
- Additional funds to support Club management
